Amenities
All amenities made available by the City of Gold Coast in the amenities block in the park. These include:
Standard accessible toilets
Beach wheelchair accessible beach showers
Changing Places toilet with dual transfer toilet, height adjustable change bench, shower and ceiling tracking hoist. Please bring your own 4-looped sling to use the hoist. You will need a Master Locksmiths Access Key (MLAK) to access this facility. The club has a key available for loan or you can apply for a key.
About Nate, and Nates Room
In 2017, the Gold Coast Council gave Neptune RLSC accessible beach mats and chairs for the introduction of the Accessible Beaches program. Neptune RLSC introduced the program and with the help of Gold Coast volunteers were able to offer the equipment 1 day per week during the summer season.
Nathan was the first user of this equipment and this was the first time Nathan was able to access the ocean. Nathan returned time and time again to enjoy the creek, he was hooked.
After many battles with his health, Nate passed in 2021. Nathan’s family donated funds to Neptune RLSC to create Nate’s room, a room to be available to the public for people who would like to use the beach access equipment at a time that suits them, their family and friends.
