CODE OF CONDUCT
As a member of Neptune Royal Life Saving Club, I will:
● Be aware of, and maintain an uncompromising compliance to the Clubs Constitution, By-Laws, Rules, Regulations & Policies which are available on Club’s website
● Place the safety of myself & other members above all else, only to conduct duties when it is safe to do so and the check the safety of myself and others prior to undertaking any task
● Be impartial, consistent, objective & courteous when making decisions
● Be professional & accept responsibility for my actions and decisions
● Avoid any situations which may be construed as a conflict of interest
● Be honest, fair, considerate in all dealings with others
● Be a positive role model, in behaviour & personal appearance (including wearing uniforms) & ensure my comments are supportive and positive
● Make a commitment to providing quality service
● Refrain from anything that may abuse, intimidate or harass others
● Use facilities & equipment for their proper purposes, for sanctioned activity & obtain proper permission before use
● Undertake induction training for personal safety & regularly update my qualifications
● Promote Lifesaving, the Neptune Club & Royal Life Saving Society
● Be aware of my responsibilities in respect to accidents & injuries (including near misses) & who and when such are to be reported
● To keep myself fit* and not perform any duties if I am not sufficiently fit for the tasks that I might be required to undertake. * The term fit includes physical fitness and mental health with consideration to your past or likely injuries that may impact on your current ability.
